Slotted round nuts, steel or stainless steel, DIN 981

Material: Carbon steel, Stainless steel

Often paired with spring lock washers to strengthen their hold, these bearing nuts—also known as shaft nuts—keep vibration from shifting bearings, bushings, pulleys, and gears on your threaded shaft or spindle. They have slotted sides, so you can tighten and loosen them with a spanner wrench or socket.

Carbon Steel—Carbon steel bearing nuts are strong and resist wear.

Chamfered Face—Chamfered-face bearing nuts weigh less and produce less heat than stepped-face nuts.

ISO 2982— Some chamfered-face bearing nuts meet ISO 2982 (formerly DIN 981), an international standard for bearing locknut dimensions.

The round nut is often used with the round nut with a stop washer. When assembling, insert the inner tongue of the washer into the groove on the shaft, and insert the outer tongue of the washer into the groove of the round nut, and the nut is locked; loose. Often used as the axial fixation of rolling bearings. Round nut with thread size of M10×1～M200×3. The material is 45 steel, Steel 1.0503 Stainless steel, bright. Steel, bright. groove or all the hardness after heat treatment is HRC35～45. Steel electro zinc-plated. Note: The slotted round nuts are mainly used to fasten bearings to a shaft. The slotted round nuts can also be used to secure gear wheels, pulleys, and other machine components.
