Product Specification

An extra-soft nylon tip minimizes the damage that can occur from metal-on-metal contact. Use these set screws on soft surfaces such as aluminum. The body is chemical-resistant 18-8 stainless steel and may be mildly magnetic. Length listed does not include the tip.Spring-loaded plungers, also known as ball plungers, or locating beads/posts, are spring-loaded inside the threads of the screws to regulate the preload and achieve the locating function by controlling the depth of screwing in. By controlling the depth of screwing into the threads, the beads & pins inside the threads can set the preload and move up and down stroke, which is suitable for mechanical devices, jigs, and fixtures, molds, automation machines, etc.
