What is the difference between spacers and standoffs?
The main difference between a PCB standoff and a spacer is that a standoff is threaded on both ends, while a spacer is typically unthreaded with an inside clearance hole. A standoff is used to create space between a printed circuit board and another surface, while a spacer is used to create space between two objects.
Both PCB standoffs and spacers can be made from various materials, such as plastic, metal, or nylon, and come in different shapes and sizes to fit multiple application requirements.
