At modern port terminals, container-handling equipment such as rubber-tired gantry cranes often operates at heights exceeding 10 meters. Traditionally, unstable industrial Wi-Fi networks required operators to work in elevated control cabins, increasing operational risk and limiting efficiency.
With full 5G network coverage in port logistics parks, four-way 5G industrial cameras can be installed directly on gantry cranes. Operators can now monitor and control crane operations remotely from indoor control rooms via high-definition, real-time video transmission.
This 5G-enabled remote operation model improves handling efficiency, enhances operational accuracy, and enhances the working environment, contributing to safer, more human-centered port operations.
