Height includes the flange. Black-oxide steel locknuts are mildly corrosion-resistant. Zinc yellow-chromate plated steel locknuts resist corrosion in wet environments. Black-phosphate steel locknuts resist corrosion in wet environments and have a black finish that blends in with dark surfaces.
