The material of the shaft is mainly carbon steel and alloy steel. Commonly used high-quality carbon steels include 20Cr30, 40, 45, 5040Cr, 35SiMn, and 45 sheets of steel can be used up to 35CrMo, etc.
High-carbon steel: Carbon content (C: 0.6%~1.3%) is often called tool steel, and the carbon content is from more than 0.60% to 1.70%. It can be hardened and tempered. Hammers, crowbars, etc. are made of steel with a carbon content of 0.75%; cutting tools such as drills, taps, reamers, etc. are made of steel with a carbon content of 0.90% to 1.00%. The higher the carbon content, the greater the hardness and strength, but the lower the plasticity.
