Differences in Three-Axis, Four-Axis, and Five-Axis CNC Milling:
1. Three-Axis - This is one of the most widely used techniques for machining parts. Standard CNC milling machines have three axes, with the cutting tool moving along the X, Y, and Z axes to mill the part.
2. Four-Axis - We use this type of milling machine to produce more complex parts. It incorporates an additional rotational motion on a vertical axis, allowing for greater flexibility and introducing more continuous machining capabilities.
3. Five-Axis - These machines are the most advanced and widely used type of CNC milling machine. Five-axis milling machines combine the three traditional axes with two additional degrees of motion. This is achieved by adding rotation to both the work table and the spindle.
